neutrals and blacks/greys are usually safe bets to use as your “base” and mix well – just avoid all black! It’s great to add color with accessories and tops, though I would recommend picking a few coordinating accent colors for everyone to choose from. You can see how On the Square did this with mustard yellow in the attached photo.

I would avoid red, orange, loud patterns, and anything overly bright/neon. The goal is complementary colors, rather than matchy-matchy! Most teams also do at least one more formal outfit and one more casual outfit – just talk about this as a team to make sure you look like you’re on the same level of dressy at all times.

I’d also recommend bringing a few laptops/tablets and marketing collateral so that you can have something in your hands! It’s helpful for at least some cell phones to either have no case or a neutral phone case, as a brightly colored phone case could be distracting.

you'll pick at least one starting spot and I'll take over from there based on where the light is good! A listing or amenity floor of an apartment/condo building often works well! Some teams also reach out to clients to see if they can use their homes for the shoot.

I usually try to do a few full team photos in different spots, and then break the team down into smaller groups all throughout the space to give variety. I can almost always find a good outdoor location wherever I am, so we can either shoot in the surrounding neighborhood, or go to a local park if you'd prefer a more green look.
