Sadly, after I graduated, snow became less about crossing fingers for snow days, and more about completely forgetting to dig out the car and having all the doors iced shut (oops). The good news for me is, at our house, snow is a completely legitimate excuse to put on a hoodie footie; any other time, you’d feel like you’re in a traveling sauna.
A few wintery photos from the past month or so, with a few Instagrams to round it out. If you’d like to follow along, you can here!
Kealan magically made our table for four into a table for twelve, using elves and trickery.
While at home for Thanksgiving, I used my papa to test light before some family portraits and this very happy unplanned photo happened :) It’s my favorite photo of him ever!
Our Maryland friends came to play and we visited Terrain and I had to remind myself not to buy all kinds of plants because it’s really hard to keep Mr. Basil Plant alive.
Hobelhouse got decorated, and Colby thought each branch of the tree was a personal, spike-ridden bone just for him.
This picture is just here so you can laugh at Colby’s tongue. Probably on fire from chewing plastic Christmas tree. And yes, doggie crate means no room for a Christmas tree except on top of doggie crate :)
The snow surprised us right after church! And we were delighted! Until it took our poor Becca 4 hours to get home.
We picked up an eskimo friend we found Instagramming tiny Christmas trees!
As expected, Colby had to be dragged (literally) into the snow, but he started to figure it out :)
Lastly, our Christmas card photo (thanks Julie!).
And one more behind-the-scenes for good measure :)
matthew 1:22-23 – all this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: “the virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel”–which means, “God with us.”
Merry Christmas, friends :)
